They heard Claire laugh.
They watched Nia attempt to leave.
Dylan blocked her.
Nia told him to move.
He shoved.
She warned him.
He punched first.

Principal Ellis ordered a formal investigation.
The no-contact directives meant the incident already involved prior discipline.
Claire and Dylan were separated from school while administrators reviewed evidence.
