Kara reached again.
Naomi redirected the arm and moved sideways.
Kara kept coming.
A short defensive counter turned her momentum.
Kara lost balance.
She went down beside Lauren.
Everything stopped.
Naomi stood between the sinks and stalls breathing hard.
Lauren remained on her back.
Kara had rolled onto one side.
Neither advanced.
Naomi lowered her hands.
She did not kick.
She did not shout.
She did not touch either girl again.
For several seconds, fluorescent lights hummed above complete silence.
Naomi looked down at the two girls.
Then she looked toward the sink.
Her phone had fallen near the counter during the confrontation.
She bent down.
Picked it up.
The screen had cracked slightly along one corner.
Naomi stared at it.
Lauren groaned from the floor.
Naomi looked at her.
No triumph.
No threat.
Just exhaustion.
Then she pressed the emergency-call shortcut.
Assistant Principal Webb arrived with Coach Ross and a school security officer less than two minutes later.
They found Naomi standing near the sinks.
Lauren on the floor.
Kara sitting against a stall door.
The bathroom looked exactly as chaotic as the worst possible interpretation.
Webb’s first question was immediate.
“Is anyone seriously hurt?”
Nobody was.
Lauren’s shoulder and hip hurt.
Kara had scraped one palm.
Naomi’s forearm was red where she had blocked a strike.
Webb separated them.
Naomi walked into the hallway shaking so badly that Coach Ross had to hold her backpack.
“What happened?” Ross asked.
Naomi opened her mouth.
Then stopped.
She had spent months explaining.
Right now, she had no words left.
“Ask them.”
Ross looked toward the bathroom.
Naomi added, “Lauren hit first.”
Then she started crying.
Coach Ross guided her toward the counseling office.
The no-contact order transformed the incident immediately.
Lauren was not supposed to approach Naomi at all outside required academic contexts.
A bathroom confrontation after school was clearly unnecessary contact.
Still, there were no security cameras inside restrooms.
Physical sequence would require testimony.
Lauren claimed Naomi attacked first.
Kara initially supported her.
Naomi said the opposite.
For several hours, the school had three conflicting stories.
Then Madison Price walked into Assistant Principal Webb’s office.
