Simone shoved Chloe backward.
For a moment there was space.
Then Madison returned.
She charged toward Simone and swung.
Simone ducked low.
Madison attacked again.
The fight moved beside the overturned container while the fish remained visible in the grass.
Simone blocked.
Countered.
Backed away.
Madison kept coming.
Finally Simone planted one foot, lifted the other, and delivered a strong front kick.
Madison went backward and hit the grass.
This time she stayed there.
Simone stopped.
She looked at Chloe.
Chloe did not move forward again.
The fight was over.
Simone turned away from both women and dropped to her knees beside the fish.
A biology student who had been watching ran forward to help.
Together they returned the surviving fish to the lake.
Two did not recover.
That detail affected Simone more than the bruises she found later.
Campus security arrived within minutes. Simone, Madison, and Chloe were separated while witnesses gave statements.
The first problem was that one phone video began with Simone striking Madison. Viewed alone, it looked like Simone had started a fight beside the lake.
Then more footage appeared.
A student walking behind Madison and Chloe had accidentally recorded part of the approach while filming her friends. The clip clearly showed Madison kick Simone’s chair into the lake.
Another recording captured the overturned fish container.
The complete sequence became impossible to dispute.
Push into lake.
Mockery.
Property destruction.
Simone’s retaliatory strike.
Chloe’s attack.
Madison rejoining.
Simone defending herself.
Simone stopping when nobody continued advancing.
Dean Bell met Simone Sunday morning.
Her parents joined by video call.
Bell began with the part Simone already knew.
“You struck Madison first after the container was kicked.”
“Yes.”
