Something inside me just shut off. I hung up mid-sentence before she could pull me into yet another circular argument, and she probably figured I’d back down. She had no clue I was already mapping out how to make her problem disappear. I rang up a friend of mine, someone who actually understands boundaries and happens to own a tow truck. When he pulled up and spotted the RV hogging my driveway, he cracked up laughing.

I had him hook it up and haul it straight back to Karen’s place. Since she was out, I recorded the entire process from beginning to end. The chains locking on, the lift raising it, the wheels rolling away, all captured on camera. Once the RV was set down neatly in front of her garage, I sent her the full video. No message, no explanation, just clear proof that her entitlement had been returned exactly where it belonged.

She didn’t reply right away, which caught me off guard since she usually responded faster than a smoke detector during a grease fire. Hours passed before my phone finally buzzed with a message containing just three words: “You’ll regret this.” That’s when it hit me. Karen wasn’t simply furious. She was scheming.

Saturday arrived peaceful and still, the kind of morning that promises rest after a rough week. I had the day off, so I planned to unwind, maybe cook something, and soak in the quiet that had vanished the moment Karen decided to hijack my driveway with her oversized eyesore on wheels. I honestly believed towing her RV home had made my point crystal clear. Surely even Karen would grasp that not every homeowner could be steamrolled. But clearly I’d overestimated her because the calm didn’t even survive an hour.

While I lounged on the couch scrolling my phone, a deafening engine roar suddenly tore through the quiet outside, far too loud for our sleepy street. Before I could even rise, tires shrieked so violently it sounded like someone was doing donuts across my front lawn. My pulse spiked, and before I reached the door, a thunderous crash rattled the entire house. A brutal impact ripped through the walls as something enormous slammed straight into the front of my home. The force knocked me off my feet, the room spinning as dust, plaster, and debris rained down around me.

I hit the ground hard, coughing, struggling to focus my eyes. When I finally hauled myself up, head pounding, the impossible truth stared back at me. Karen’s RV had rammed directly into my living room like it was starring in some action film. Its front end was lodged in the wall, wreckage and crushed furniture scattered everywhere. My hands trembled as I wiped blood from my forehead, still struggling to process it all.

Then the driver’s door swung open, and Karen stepped out, completely unbothered. She dusted herself off casually as though she’d simply stepped out of a car parked at the curb and immediately started screaming at me. “I warned you you’d regret this,” she shrieked. “I’m not someone you cross.” I just gaped at her, too stunned to even respond.
